Wednesday with Add-on!

And now we know ..........

THERE WAS SNOW AT GORTON LAKE!!

and

THERE WAS NO GIRLS' SOCCER GAME!!

Here's an E-mail that I just received from Nicki Suba that explains what happened!!

"I am emailing to update you on the girl's varsity soccer match that DIDN'T occur last night at Bishop Ludden High School. A hearty gathering of Waterville fans and parents made the trip to cheer on our team only to be sent home instead. The game was postponed by the officials due to inclement weather. Strangely, the weather forecast yesterday predicted steady rain and 30-40 degree temperatures all day long...no big surprises there. For those of us who made the trip and were very displeased with the outcome, we wonder why they waited until everyone made the trip to decide to cancel. Other teams held their games...Suspicious folks in the crowd ponder if it was a tactical move on the part of the Syracuse crowd to lessen the impact of the Waterville fans on the game. I hope Waterville fans are not discouraged and bite the bullet to make a second trip to support our girls tonight. The game starts at 4:30 at Bishop Ludden...just enough time to catch the whole game and slip back to catch the boy's game at 7 p.m. at home...I know I will!"

It's Recyclables Day!

35.2 degrees.
It's been raining, but there's no precipitation, now.

If there has been any snow in the area, it hasn't come to "Whiskey Hollow."

FARMER'S MARKET

today in the Park

11:00 - 6:00

*****

From WKTV: " ........ some leftover flurries or sprinkles are expected in the morning, along with a stiff, cold breeze. High temperatures will reach the mid 40s, but wind chills will remain in the 30s. We should see the overcast break up a bit through the afternoon and it may be chilly, but pleasant during the late afternoon.
We expect sunshine and milder temperatures both Thursday and Friday. Highs will be near 50 Thursday and into the mid 50s Friday. Saturday will feature increasing clouds ahead of our next weather maker, a storm that will produce our next shot at rain Sunday. Behind this storm, even colder air than we have now is expected to move in, and with that our first lake effect snow event of the season may begin to unfold."

I also had a call from Waterville Historical Society President Joe Falk telling me that there are still a few tickets left for the annual "Victorian Tea," which will take place this year on December 6th. The Society building on White Street will be open today from 10:00 - 4:00, if anyone is interested!
