Wednesday

It's 40.5 degrees.

From WKTV:
"Sunshine will dominate the day Wednesday.Temperatures won't exactly be cold, but we will miss the 70s. Highs should be in the mid 60s, with perhaps a few upper 60s mixed in. A weak wave and another cold front will begin to cross the region Wednesday night and Thursday, bringing plenty of clouds and a period of showers. The rain should begin around daybreak Thursday and end by Noon. Thursday may not see much, if any sunshine though, and highs will be in the mid to upper 50s. Some chilly air will filter in behind this system, keeping temperatures in the mid 50s for highs and overnight lows in the 30s with patchy frost Friday and Saturday."

Kathy Marriott sent me this picture of Mrs. Midlam's Kindergarten Class on a Trip to the Firehouse, last Friday, as part of Fire Prevention Week activities.

It's working!
The reason that the Main Street Committee selected ornamental pear trees for West Main Street was because they have such beautiful Autumn colors.

(Too bad they weren't planted on East Main Street, too!)

Everyone notices the bright red trees, first, but the golds are just as beautiful.

These are in front of the Karram residence on Tower Street ............

.................. and these form a golden tunnel on the Uncas Road trail to Black Bear Mountain.

Here's a view from the summit.

(My thanks to Barb McNamara for the photographs!)

On Bogan Road South.

She's waiting for you!

(at Alcott's Haunted House!)

(Details tomorrow!)

FOR THE RECORD

I just scrolled backwards. I think that the first time that I noted the price of gasoline was on March 26th. Then, it was $3.33.9

Another "Ouch!"

Next game: tomorrow night at the Tropicana.

Have a great day, everyone!
