Tuesday morning

It's 59 degrees with some overcast.

Internet connection is sporadic: on at 5:10; but off a few minutes later until 6:05.
I'm typing fast so that I can post this before there's another lapse!

The weather forecast from WKTV:
"On Tuesday, we do expect a (gasp!) storm-free day! Sun and clouds will dominate. Temperatures will top off in the low 80s, and humidity will be comfortable. Tuesday night should be dry, but there will be a subtle increase in humidity overnight. This will lead to our next set of forecast issues Wednesday. As humidity surges in from the south, and as a cold front approaches from the N & W, we will likely see the development of afternoon and evening showers and storms. Depending on a few factors, some of these storms have the potential to be locally strong to perhaps severe."

An article in this morning's O-D says that the Waterville Post Office may be renamed for Cpl. John P. Sigsbee.

Spikes of purple Vervaine and fluffy bunches of Joe Pye Weed are showing up in moist fields and ditches. Who was "Joe Pye?" Legend says that he was a Native American herb doctor in the Massachusetts Bay Colony region and he used a special plant to ease the discomfort of a common disease known as typhus, or typhoid fever. So, the plant was commonly identified by early settlers as Joe-Pye-Weed.
