Tuesday

It's 45 degrees and clear.

Sunshine will start the day...and finish it on Tuesday. Temperatures should be similar to what we saw out there on Monday, with highs of 80 or so likely. After a quiet Tuesday night, Wednesday will again start off sunny and warm, with highs near 80. A weak cold front will push through on Wednesday afternoon and evening. This front will basically be "dying out" as it moves through, so some showers and thunderstorms are possible, but a significant amount of showers and storms is unlikely. It will usher in slightly cooler weather for Thursday, with highs near 70 or so, perhaps in the low 70s. It will again be quite sunny.

Two weeks ago we seemed to be running about a week late, as far as Spring blooms went, but now: we've leapt ahead!!

Tiny "Spring Beauty" and yellow "Turk's Cap" lilies - also called "trout lily" and "adder's tongue" - are in bloom in the Fuess-Cleary Road woods.

Forsythia bushes on Berrill Avenue are dazzling ........

........... and daffodils, either in rows at Grace Episcopal Church ........

............ or growing "wild" next to Buell Avenue, are at their best.

Yesterday

In the Park.

In the mail: an E-note from Kristin Strohmeyer sent to me on Sunday morning.

"Despite lost luggage, and a far earlier bus departure time than expected from the Keys, fifteen really happy and sleepy scouts and adults returned last night about 12:45am! Yippee! Can’t send you a picture ‘til JetBlue returns the bag with the camera, but from what I heard before we all collapsed last night (or was it this morning?), the trip was a phenomenal success."
