From WKTV: On Tuesday, clouds will gradually thicken up through the day. Rain and snow won't be too far away by evening, but it will take a little while for things to get going. Precipitation will begin as light rain and snow during the evening. But temperatures are expected to drop off once this occurs, down to near or just below freezing. At the same time, temperatures about 5,000 feet up in the atmosphere will be warming up. The result? An icy mix of sleet, freezing rain and rain is likely tomorrow evening. Only minor problems are expected right now, but some slick spots are possible tomorrow night, especially north and east of Utica, primarily on hilltops.
By Wednesday morning, everyone should be warm enough to change over to rain.
