Monday

Wow! Tom Eisenhut was busy climbing that car wash ladder!

**************

Tom McNamara phoned to tell me that the newest member of the McNamara Family, little Alannah Lynn McNamara who was born on September 19, and her parents - Kiernan and Megan - is visiting her grandparents on Buell Avenue!

Welcome to Waterville, Alannah!

It's Garbage Day!

54.5 degrees; still moist, but not raining!

From WKTV: (Monday) will start out with clouds and fog, but we'll lose both heading into the afternoon. By tomorrow afternoon, it should clear out here with at least partial sunshine and highs near 70. Dry and sunny weather will not last as another storm system approaches from the west. A strong cold front will move in to the region and give us a blast of chilly weather for the middle of the week. This airmass is cold enough to ignite Lake Onario and we'll see some lake effect rain showers throughout this period along with plenty of cloud cover. High temperatures from Wednesday through Friday are expected to remain mostly in the 50s."

Sandy Martin wrote to report that "The Waterville Crimson Bonnets held their September meeting at the South Street Banquet Hall in West Winfield. A wonderful buffet was catered by Dominick's Italian Bistro in Bridgewater. Items on the buffet included quiche, ziti, basil cream chicken, tossed salad and Italian cookies for dessert. After the meal we played a fun card game. One particular table was the luckiest. Door prizes of the flower center pieces were given out. Mary Paquette and Helen Lundt did a wonderful job arranging this get together. Next months meeting will be held at Thornberry's in Utica with a tour of the Stanley to follow. Members are reminded to call Sandy or Lurena with their reservations."

On Berrill Avenue

Pumpkins and little straw people are popping up!

Out on Madison Street.

*******

On Putnam Street.

Even in the rain, some of the foliage in the village is spectacular .......

and this ancient maple on Fuess Cleary Road is just about "perfect!"

There's no need to go to the Adirondacks: you'll find wonderful color on Keith Road ......

........... or just down at Bailey Lake!

The rain must have helped: there's just a slight haze of green in this field behind Edie Eastman's home on Route 315, where the Winter Rye (my guess!) has sprouted.

FOR THE RECORD:

Gas hasn't been this "low" since April 22nd!
