CONGRATULATIONS

WCS TARC Team #6104

!!!!!

Learn about them on this WKTV Video!

Mentor Rollin Bateman and the students.

The Rocket Launch took place on Saturday, with quite a few spectators! "Overall, the students made huge improvements on their launch scores from the start of the event....... definitely a direct result of all the hard work that they put into the challenge. We will know on Friday where we fall in the overall national competition."

Mr. Bateman added that, pending permission from the school, he'd like to sign the rocket team up for the CNY Rocket Team Challenge!

(We'll be hearing more about this, I'm sure!!)

Also in the mail, these two great photographs,
sent to us by Eric Iverson! Thank You!!!

After attending the Stanley Open House on Saturday, Terry Tanner wrote: "Magnificent! What a treasure it is."

Gail Prentice, who attended with her sister, Diane Bancroft and a friend said: "Everything was fabulous! It was nice to see that a lot of thought and planning went into the new design - they did everything right! The stage is fantastic, I'm looking forward to some of the new shows that they will be able to book because of the great facilities. From a performers point of view, the dressing rooms and bathrooms are great."

I've heard tha Dale Meszler of Waterville and Almy & Associates of Utica was interviewed by Syracuse TV station WTVH, but I havn't seen the video.

Several Watervillians attended the Aretha Franklin Concert at Hamilton College, on Saturday evening.  Lois Newsom wrote: "MY OH MY , SHE WAS TERRIFIC !! I ALSO SAW CAROL TOWER THERE -- AND THE PLACE WAS PACKED -- JANIE, LISKA, ALEC AND I WENT, -- AND WE ALL ENJOYED IT THOROUGHLY!"

The weather had been thoroughly miserable and "snowbirds" like the Samboras and Doris Stephan may have wondered why they'd reurned, but ...................

Yesterday was the day that Spring Came to Waterville!

The parking lot and roadside out near the American Legion were packed for the Jessica Jones Benefit. (I hope that Becky sends photos, later today, because the event surely must have been a grea success!)

In the village, it seemed that everyone was outdoors.

(That looks like Sheri and Jenn, doesn't it?)

(Click!)

I stopped to take a picture of these crocuses at the Persons' .....

.... when along came the Hinman children - taking Dad for a bike ride!

Elsewhere, spades and rakes were being exercised!

On Madison Street.

West Bacon Street.

Stafford Avenue.

Darren Cope on Upper White Street

Gary and Ellie Allen.

(There were plenty more, but I think I'm running out of room!)
